Essen. Almost 8,000 sporting enthusiasts lined up at the start of the 7th Essener Firmenlauf yesterday evening, and they ensured the race was an unforgettable experience for all of the participants and the numerous spectators who lined the route. About 40 employees of KÖTTER Services from the whole of North Rhine-Westphalia were among the participants.
We want to achieve the objective together. The sportsmen and sportswomen of the family-owned company showed special ambition and willingess to run by following this motto. Furthermore, the race of 5 kilometres (just over 3 miles) had a respectable outcome, besides a lot of fun and team spirit: the best KÖTTER women's team finished in 103rd place out of the 941 teams that registered overall, whereas the best men's team achieved 274th place out of the 1,345 registered teams. The three best runners respectively were the basis for assessing the teams.
Volker Hofmann, who is the Head of Human Resources at KÖTTER GmbH & Co. KG Administrative Services, supports the campaign with total conviction: "Participation in the Essener Firmenlauf makes a valuable contribution to meeting our co-workers from the various branches and encouraging their team spirit."
Furthermore, the Essener Firmenlauf is one of the huge number of measures that the KÖTTER Corporate Group takes for managing health.
KÖTTER Security was simultaneously involved in ensuring the safety of the Essener Firmenlauf. Therefore, the Essen branch of the West German security company of Fritz Kötter SE & Co. KG set up control points along the route and they made an important contribution to the secure and smooth sequence of the event while doing so.
