-> Anniversary: IR-Wirtschaftsreihe "Dialogue with youth" for the 10th time at KÖTTER Services
-> More than 60 pupils from Duisburg, Mülheim an der Ruhr and Hagen talked with Friedrich P. Kötter
-> Family company provides more than 110 apprenticeship positions for the new training year
Essen/Duisburg/Mülheim an der Ruhr/Hagen (23.03.2018). What happens when alarm systems report an intrusion? What is important when checking airline passengers and their hand luggage? What could be the fatal consequences of a simple burning office wastepaper basket? More than 60 Oberstufe (senior class) pupils from Duisburg, Mülheim an der Ruhr and Hagen received answers to these and numerous other issues in the context of the Economy Series "Dialogue with young people" of the Initiativkreis Ruhr (IR), which was joined by family companies from Essen.
In the discussion series "Dialogue with young people", senior-class students from Ruhr-region schools met with top managers from member-companies of the Initiativkreis Ruhr for a personal discussion on an equal footing. Now for the 10th time, also the KÖTTER corporate group participated in this series. Last Thursday, Friedrich P. Kötter took more than four hours from his schedule to speak with the pupils, answer numerous questions and provide insight into the average working day of the family company from Essen.
Live experience at the practice stations
In addition to the personal dialogue with the corporate leader, a highlight of the entire afternoon was the visit of three practice stations. In the process, the pupils visited the emergency and service hotline (NSL) newly opened in January this year, one of the most up-to-date and safest of its kind in all of Europe, leaned more about the training offers of the in-house academy in the fire protection sector and received insight into the work of air safety assistants, who are responsible for the passenger and luggage controls at German airports.
More than 110 apprenticeship positions will be made available for the training year starting in summer
As the "serious side of life" will start shortly for a number of pupils, the training professions offered by the corporation were the focus of the subsequent get-together. Here, they learned from the HR manager as well as current trainees everything about the nine different occupations in which the family company is already training more than 160 trainees nationally. Starting at the beginning of the training year 2018/2019 this summer, the security, cleaning and employment agency is looking for approx. 110 new male and female trainees in the following occupations: Kaufmann/frau (merchant) in office management, protection and safety specialist, Personaldienstleistungskaufmann/frau (human resources services consultant), MV mechatronics technician, industrial cleaner, IT systems electronics technician, Elektroniker (electronics technician) for information and communication technology, as well as Fachinformatiker (IT specialist) for applications development as well as for systems integration.
