Munich (October 4, 2017) "Our employees have done a fantastic job during Oktoberfest. Our team has stuck together in the face of adversity and challenges. We can all be a little proud of ourselves for having contributed to the success of the Oktoberfest with our work,” commented Friedrich P. Kötter (Member of the Board of Directors of KÖTTER SE & Co. KG Security, Munich) on the deployment of his team at this year's Munich Oktoberfest.
Gingerbread Lebkuchenherz a small recognition for commitment
Around 650 employees from KÖTTER Security and partner companies secured the perimeter fences during the Oktoberfest, controlled the entrances and ensured the protection of officials. Even though approximately 25 employees were on sick leave, security checks at all control points ran smoothly. As a small recognition of their great commitment, Friedrich P. Kötter handed over a traditional gingerbread heart to all the operatives on the last day of the Oktoberfest.
Professional no matter the weather
"Our employees were at their posts without any complaints, whatever the weather. We have implemented every part of the security strategy developed in advance with the city of Munich. This success is the result of teamwork and professionalism. I would also like to thank all those involved for their commitment. They deserve praise and appreciation,” emphasized Friedrich P. Kötter with regard to his co-workers.
There were around 6,2 million visitors to this year’s Oktoberfest. KÖTTER Security contributed significantly to the safe running of the festival area with around 650 employees.
