KÖTTER Security Advisory Board

For over two decades, the KÖTTER Security Security Advisory Board has promoted dialogue between the public sector and the security industry, driven cooperation opportunities between authorities and service providers, and advocated for high quality and training standards in the security industry.

Dialogue, cooperation and conception

Cooperation with the public sector places the highest demands on the consulting quality of a private security service provider. For this reason, KÖTTER Security established the KÖTTER Security Advisory Board in 2000.

The goal: to promote dialogue and cooperation with municipalities, cities, states, and the federal government, as well as to support KÖTTER Security's specialist departments in the conception and implementation of new services. These include, for example, "Aviation Security," "Public Security," and "Justice Services."

The Security Advisory Board also supports KÖTTER Security's management staff in the preparation of security projects for the public sector and in the areas of industry, trade, and commerce.

Dr. Harald Olschok

Dr. Harald Olschok is the former long-time Managing Director of the Federal Association of the Security Industry (BDSW) and the Federal Association of German Cash and Valuables Services (BDGW). The successful development of the security industry is closely linked to Dr. Olschok's work. A prime example of this is the transfer of responsibility for the security industry to the Federal Ministry of the Interior, which he played a key role in bringing about together with the BDSW Executive Board.

Fritz Rudolf Körper

Fritz Rudolf Körper was a member of the Bundestag for over two decades. As Parliamentary State Secretary to Federal Interior Minister Otto Schily, he shaped domestic policy under Chancellor Gerhard Schröder between 1998 and 2005. He subsequently served as deputy chairman of the SPD parliamentary group in the Bundestag (2005-2009) and, among other roles, a member of the Defense Committee and the Parliamentary Control Committee (2009-2013).

Bernd Jürgens

Bernd Jürgens brings over four decades of professional and management experience in the security industry, including nearly 25 years as Managing Director and Managing Director of KÖTTER SE & Co. KG Security, Hamburg. He also served for over two decades on the board of the Bremen and Hamburg regional chapters of the German Security Industry Association (BDSW), making him a leading figure in the industry not only at KÖTTER Security, but far beyond.

Wolfgang Bosbach

Wolfgang Bosbach was a member of the German Bundestag for more than 20 years and served, among other roles, as Chairman of the Committee on Internal Affairs from 2009 to 2015. KÖTTER Security is convinced that, as a political lateral thinker, he will provide important impetus, particularly for increased cooperation between the state and private sector, in order to seize important opportunities, for example, with a view to urgently relieving the burden on the police.

Young talent benefits from specialist knowledge

The expertise of the Security Advisory Board members is also invaluable for junior staff. Therefore, the Security Advisory Board supports the development, updating, and implementation of training and continuing education programs within the KÖTTER Academy.
