Supply Chain Due Diligence Act (LkSG)
The Supply Chain Due Diligence Act (LkSG), which came into force on January 1, 2023, regulates corporate responsibility for compliance with human rights in global supply chains. The law obligates companies in Germany to comply with human rights and environmental due diligence obligations. These due diligence obligations apply not only to their own business areas but also to the actions of direct and indirect suppliers and contractual partners.
Due to its size, the KÖTTER Group is subject to the German Environmental Protection Act (LkSG) starting January 2023. In this context, a risk management system has been established to provide information on whether business relationships are associated with human rights or environmental risks. Ultimately, the KÖTTER Group bears responsibility for its entire supply chain.
Statement of Principles
As a nationwide group of companies, we bear great responsibility: for our business partners, our employees, society, and the environment. We are aware of this responsibility – and are happy to accept it. Our Declaration of Principles on the Protection of Human Rights is addressed to all our employees and partners. Together with our Code of Conduct, it forms the foundation of our value system.
