A Little Bit of Help that is Much Appreciated

KÖTTER Services has been supporting social and charitable associations as well as regional cultural and athletic  institutions for many years. We do so because we are aware and convinced that these funds not only help the community but also give people a chance to reach their personal goals and make small dreams come true.

KÖTTER Services founded a new boat to the ETUF rowing team
The KÖTTER Group provided unbureaucratic assistance to the ETUF (Essener Turn- und Fechtclub) rowing team. Due to traffic accident in summer two boats of the rowing team had been destroyed. For smooth continuation of competition and training at Baldeneysee, KÖTTER Services contributed the new acquisition. The boat has been ceremonially named “Elisa” on Sunday, November 8, at the ETUF club house in memorial of Elisa Kötter, deceased wife of Fritz Kötter, who had former been an enthusiastic rower. The boat ceremony had been carried out by the three grandsons Niklas, Moritz and Leonard Oehme.

4,000 cat’s eyes for road safety founded
Safety for the little ones in the road traffic: According to this theme the KÖTTER Group founded 4,000 cat’s eyes on the occasion of its 75th anniversary. Within the campaign “Safety on the way to school” the cat’s eyes will be distributed among elementary school students and preschoolers in Essen and Mülheim/Ruhr.

15th Harbour Party
Streams of visitors from near and far came to that for the 15th Harbour Party of Duisburg Ruhrort, which took place from 25th until 28th July and this year was supported by KÖTTER Security. The Sponsoring by numerous partners allowed the free entrance of this event at the mouth to the domestic port of Duisburg, the biggest Inland Port of the world. Beside the big fireworks “Ruhrort in flames” the visitors experienced again an attractive frame programme. 

Circus gala-evening at the Zeche Zollverein in Essen
“Welcome to the 1st Circus gala with the cabaret artist Volker Pispers, supported by KÖTTER Services, on Friday, 23rd May 2008 at the world cultural heritage Zeche Zollverein in Essen. Every sold ticket and all collected bounties supported the work of the school for the circus-children in NRW under the institution of the protestant church.

Donations to the „Deutscher Kinderschutzbund“
The amount of around 18.000 € for the benefit of the „Deutscher Kinderschutzbund“ has been collected on the occasion of Fritz Kötter`s 70th birthday that he celebrated together with 250 guests on February 27 at the “Zeche Zollverein” in Essen. Instead of presents Fritz Kötter asked kindly for donations. “The German Kinderschutzbund does a good job since 40 years in Essen and therefore I would like to express my sincere thanks for the numerous donations.”

Congress of Family Business
On 11th/12th February 2011 was held the “13th Convention for family-companies” at the University of Witten/Herdecke. About 250 participants came to the famous event, which is supported by KÖTTER Services.

Participating is Everything – the ETUF "Talentiade"
The "Kindertalentiade" for pupils took place for the 26^st time in May 2011 at ETUF in Essen. The athletics festival, which took place at the Baldeneysee lake was the crowning finale of the talent scout. The "Talentiade" is not an athletics tournament in the traditonal sense. It helps children from all levels of society learn to interact fairly and respectfully with each other by means of athletic competition. KÖTTER has donated small prizes and popular souvenirs as motivation for the participants for a number of years.
